My Why

I became a mum at 19, just as I was starting to find my way as a makeup artist. With only a year of freelancing under my belt, I knew I was stepping into motherhood young, and people didn’t hesitate to remind me. I had comments like “you have your whole life ahead of you” and “you will be giving so much up” the list goes on… I refused to believe I couldn’t do both.

At 13 weeks pregnant with my eldest daughter, I pushed through severe morning sickness and landed a spot backstage as a makeup artist at New Zealand Fashion Week. I knew that no matter the challenges, I had dreams to chase—not just for me, but for her too.

Now as a certified Makeup Artist and Cosmetic Tattooist I have not only gained expertise in traditional makeup but also in the specialised field of cosmetic tattooing. Over the last 10+ years I have gained experience working with world-renowned brands and worked with all different skin types, ages and ethnicities.

Through this journey, I’ve learned that confidence is the most beautiful trait anyone can carry. My work isn’t just about makeup; it’s about empowerment. It’s about helping women see their own strength and beauty, beyond the unrealistic standards the world throws at us.

As women, we go through so much, and the pressure to fit a mold can be overwhelming. I want to break that mold. I want every woman who sits in my chair to leave not just looking beautiful but feeling it—inside and out. My deepest wish is for my daughters to grow up believing in their own beauty and worth, knowing that they are perfect just as they are.
This is why I do what I do. To help others see in themselves what I want my girls to always feel: confident, powerful, and unapologetically themselves
