Pre / After Care
PRE CARE
BEFORE THE TREATMENT:
- Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning beds for 30 days.
- Refrain from brow lamination for 6 weeks (For brow tattoo).
- Avoid Botox injections for 2 weeks before and after the treatment.
- Do not consume Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Fish/Krill, or primrose oil for 1 week before the appointment.
- Avoid foods that can thin the blood, such as turmeric, ginger, and cinnamon, for 1 week before the appointment.
- Strictly refrain from consuming caffeine for 24 hours before the appointment.
- Avoid exercising on the day of your appointment.
- Do not wear makeup to the appointment.
AFTER CARE
After a cosmetic tattooing procedure, the treated area may appear about 30% darker than desired initially. This is because of the fresh pigment deposited in the skin. Over the next 3 to 14 days, the color will lighten and soften as the skin heals. It's normal for the area to feel a bit tender or dry during this time.
Immediately after the procedure and for the next 24 hours, continue to gently wipe the area to remove any fluid. Apply the aftercare cream three times a day for the first week, then reduce to twice a day for the following two weeks until the skin is fully healed and smooth.
- Avoid using soap, cleansers, and exposure to sunlight, tanning beds, swimming pools, saunas, and excessive sweating.
- Refrain from applying makeup.
- Do not scratch or pick at the treated area to prevent color loss or scarring. If itching occurs, gently tap the area.
- Avoid Botox injections, facials, chemical treatments, or microdermabrasion during this time.
- Limit exposure to long, hot showers, and avoid sleeping on your face.
- Use a clean pillowcase to minimize contact with dust and bacteria.
LONG TERM CARE INSTRUCTIONS
- Apply SPF/sunscreen daily to protect against sun exposure, which can cause color fading over time.
- Avoid using glycolic acid or peels, as products with active ingredients can lighten the color with continuous use.
- Check moisturizers and cleansers for ingredients like vitamins or AHAs, as they can also fade tattoo color with prolonged use.
